Tables reference
The 19 functions and 1 value of table: signature, effects, phase, cost and tested examples.
Tables drawn in a corner of the chart. A table is made with table.new, and table.cell writes its cells.
Functions#
table.cell#
table.cell(table, column, row, [text], [width], [height], [text_color], [h_align], [v_align], [text_size], [background])
Writes a cell of a table: its text and look.
- Effects: draws on the chart or writes an output.
- Phase: every bar.
- Cost: counts against the limits on drawn objects and outputs.
- Examples: Status table, Trade tally, Bars in a day, A timeframe text the chart does not know.
table.clear#
table.clear([table], [from_column], [from_row], [to_column], [to_row])
Clears the cells of a block of the table.
- Effects: draws on the chart or writes an output.
- Phase: every bar.
- Cost: counts against the limits on drawn objects and outputs.
table.delete#
table.delete([table])
Removes the object from the chart.
- Effects: draws on the chart or writes an output.
- Phase: every bar.
- Cost: counts against the limits on drawn objects and outputs.
table.merge_cells#
table.merge_cells([table], [from_column], [from_row], [to_column], [to_row])
Merges a block of cells of the table into one.
- Effects: draws on the chart or writes an output.
- Phase: every bar.
- Cost: counts against the limits on drawn objects and outputs.
table.new#
table.new(position, columns, rows, [background], [frame_color], [frame_width], [border_color], [border_width])
Makes a table of columns by rows in a corner of the chart. Border width (border_width), like the other border and frame arguments (border_color, frame_color, frame_width), is accepted but has no visual effect in E1.
- Effects: draws on the chart or writes an output; builds a new value whose size follows its arguments (counted in the memory ledger).
- Phase: every bar.
- Cost: allocates: the memory ledger counts what it builds; counts against the limits on drawn objects and outputs.
- Returns: a table.
- Examples: Status table, Trade tally, Bars in a day, A timeframe text the chart does not know.
table.set_background#
table.set_background([table], [background])
Changes the background of the table.
